How do I deal with prescriptions?

Many of the medications you m ay receive as part of your treatment will be covered by insurance, but it’s important to check ahead of time to make sure. You can do this by calling the 1-800 number on your insurance card.

If your physician prescribes a medication that your insurance plan does not cover and you cannot afford, or if you do not have prescription drug coverage, ask your physician or pharmacist for samples or inquire about a drug assistance program for the prescribed medication.
